Compensation & Hours: 
  • The rate of pay will be $40-50/hr. plus bonus
  • 8-10 hour shifts, 5 days/week
  • Must be available for day/evening and weekend shifts
 
Position Summary: 
  • Managing daily operations of production floor, maintenance, and quality control 
  • Overseeing mechanical troubleshooting, including but not limited to repairs, ordering of parts, and assisting with repairs as needed
  • Optimizing the control systems in place surrounding production
  • Upholding safety expectations between all staff 
  • Creating formal training schedules for new employees and their specific department
  • Completing disciplinary, performance, and development reviews as required 
  • Completing bi-weekly production schedules 
  • Ensuring all product is tracked, stored, processed, and moved effectively
  • Establishing production goals for the day, month, and year – collaborating with other supervisors, and foreman
  • Developing effective and accurate processes to increase productivity within production
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within production, manufacturing, or similar environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to stay organized within a fast-paced schedule
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid class 5 license, and own reliable transportation
  • Clean drivers abstract
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
 
Bonus Points For: 
  • Valid trades certification OR Post Secondary education in Agriculture Management/ related study
  • Lean 101 training
  • Experience within the agriculture industry/crop production is an asset
