Job Description

Select People Solutions is currently seeking a 5th Class Power Engineer for our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various mechanical systems and equipment within our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of power engineering principles, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
 
Compensation & Hours: 
  • The rate of pay will be dependent on experience 
  • Monday – Friday, 8AM-4PM
  • Position is located in Lethbridge, AB
  • Must be available to start within 2 weeks
 
Position Summary: 
  • Monitor and operate equipment such as boilers, pumps, and dryer systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials and products as required
  • Stack and organize materials neatly to maximize storage space and facilitate inventory management
  • Assist with other warehouse tasks such as picking orders, packing products, and conducting inventory counts as required
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Valid 5th Class Power Engineering Certification
  • Steel-Toed Boots
  • Ability to lift 20kg
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to relevant regulations and procedures.
 
Bonus Points For: 
  • Experience operating a forklift 
  • Experience in food manufacturing
