Job Description
Are you a Class 1 driver who wants to be at home every night during the summer season? We are looking for an experienced Class 1 driver who is mechanically inclined to join a local agricultural company.

Compensation & Hours:
- The rate of pay will be $30-$35/hr.
- This will be a full-time, seasonal position
Position Summary:
- Delivering fertilizer, equipment, or other materials locally to customers
- Loading, unloading, and securing loads
- Daily inspections for mechanical items, safety issues, and perform any preventative maintenance
- Report any accidents, defects or violations
- Responsible for keeping maintenance up to date and keeping the vehicles clean
- Maintain and complete all records, documentation and paperwork with absolute accuracy
- Operating sprayer and floater
- Operate equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Maintain fertilizer spreading and crop protection spraying logs
- Perform general maintenance and report any accidents or defects
- Be familiar with SDS sheets and product labels
- Perform other duties per supervisor
- Perform basic troubleshooting involving equipment malfunctions
- Lot organization, yard maintenance, shop help
- Demonstrate proper safety and wear proper PPE at all times
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
- Mechanically inclined
- Top notch customer service
- Good understanding of agricultural practices and farm equipment
- Strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate a forklift, sprayer, and floater
- Confident at securing different types of loads
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment that includes the need to be adaptable to frequent changes in tasks and priorities
- Positive attitude
- Punctual and reliable
- Strong organizational skills & time management
Bonus Points For:
- Previous experience working with other agricultural equipment (combines, augers, swathers, balers, pivots, etc)
- Valid certificate for transportation of dangerous goods, forklift
