Select People Solutions is pleased to be working with our client as they search for a Catering and Events Manager to join their team. Successful candidates will be focused on providing a top-notch customer experience for all guests and events. Compensation & Hours: 
  • The expected salary is $75-$100K/year based on experience and background
  • This role will require some evenings and weekends as dictated by events
 
Position Summary: 
  • Planning, organizing, and evaluating the daily operations of the Food and beverage services within the Clubhouse 
  • Creating an exceptional guest experience and ensuring staff meet customer service expectations
  • Manage seasonal and event food service personnel, including recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and terminations
  • Ensuring compliance of facilities with all Alberta Health, safety, food safety, and other regulatory requirements 
  • Working with the chef and other clubhouse staff for coordination of events, ensuring appropriate menus and resource allocation including staff, food requirements, liquor and beverage requirements, and event set-up/takedown
  • Managing budgets, financial transactions, inventories, and sales 
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Post Secondary education in business management or the food service industry
  • 5+ years in event or catering experience 
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage conflicts within staff
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities 
 
Bonus Points For: 
  • Experience as a clubhouse manager/assistant manager 
  • Golf course experience
