To be considered for this position you will have a strong work ethic, proven reliability, and a positive attitude. You must be a minimum 1st year apprentice with proven hands-on experience.

Compensation & Hours: 
  • The rate of pay will be $35-45/hr. 
  • Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with the possibility of overtime and occasional weekends
  • Some travel will be required
 
Position Summary: 
  • Safely operate crane to lift, move, and position heavy materials, while adhering to all regulations.
  • Perform routine mechanical maintenance and safety inspections on the crane, boom, and other related equipment which includes cleaning, lubricating, checking fluid levels, tires, brakes, and safety devices.
  • Assemble boom sections to extend or modify boom for pile driving or high lifting.
  • Rig loads and determine load capacities, boom angles, and lift configurations.
  • Monitor weather conditions. 
  • Meticulously maintain accurate records of all logbooks, inspection reports, and other paperwork as required.
  • Perform other general labourer duties when crane is not in operation.
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Minimum 1st year crane operator with minimum 1 year of hands-on experience
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
  • Ability to work calmly and safely under pressure and remain flexible with changing conditions and deadlines.
  • Ability to problem solve innovatively and methodically around a variety of challenges.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. safely and consistently.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • A team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong spatial perception with excellent coordination and manual dexterity.
Bonus Points For: 
  • Certified Journeyperson
  • Class 1 driver’s license, with 3+ years driving experience.
