Our client is looking for a Dispatch/Fleet Manager to join their growing cross-border shipping company, known for its hard work, reliability, and strong team spirit. If you have experience in the trucking and transportation industry, along with strong organizational skills and an understanding of vehicle maintenance, we want to meet you!

Compensation & Hours: 
  • Salary: $60,000 / year.
  • Hours: 8am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday
    • Potential weekend & on-call work as needed
 
Position Summary: 
  • Oversee daily dispatch activities, coordinating drivers and routes to ensure timely deliveries and smooth logistics
  • Manage the entire fleet, ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired, and meet safety standards
  • Ensure all fleet activities comply with DOT regulations
  • Maintenance Management
  • Supervise dispatchers, drivers, and mechanics, ensuring effective communication and prompt resolutions
  • Control budgets and manage costs
  • Maintain and analyze data, while seeking opportunities to streamline processes
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Develop and maintain policies
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Diploma or degree in Logistics/Supply Chain
  • 4+ years of experience in dispatch or transportation shipping
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, freight lanes, and safety standards 
  • Experience with permits, oversized loads, and pilot car requirements
  • Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of people
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail
