Compensation & Hours: 
  • The salary range will be $120K - $140K dependent on experience
  • Ability to be on call for escalated issues is expected
  • This is a full-time, permanent position
 
Position Summary: 
  • Developing new manufacturing processes and procedures in collaboration with all stages of production
  • Determining issues within design and production processes in order to determine and implement creative and effective solutions
  • Managing the Engineering and Maintenance operations to ensure smooth overall functioning, compliance of company policies, and a focus on quality requirements and sanitation
  • Communicating with staff members, members of management, and corporate to ensure clear understanding of upcoming projects, goals, and projections
  • Creating and managing department budgets, starting with budget presentation, internal audits, and ongoing forecasting as it pertains to current systems and processes
  • Collaborating with all departments to ensure appropriate allocation of plant resources, accurate prioritization of tasks, and efficient team management within departments
  • Analyzing effectiveness of the manufacturing process, company policies and standard practices to pin-point areas for innovation to reduce cost and increase efficiency
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
  • 10+ years experience proven people management skills, ideally within Operations
  • Manufacturing experience, ideally within food manufacturing
  • Strong public speaking skills, including when addressing top management, groups, or the board of directors
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within departments
