Job Description

We are looking for a Fabricator to join a team for a well-known, safety driven client located approximately 20 minutes from Lethbridge. As a Fabricator you must have excellent attention to detail and work with absolute accuracy to ensure each product is assembled according to the blueprints or specifications. You will be required to work with both standard and custom specifications and maintain strict deadlines.

Compensation & Hours: 
  • The rate of pay will be $22/hr.
  • Monday – Friday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm 
 
Position Summary: 
  • Read and understand blueprints, specifications and drawings
  • Check measurements and dimensions of each piece that’s being worked on with rulers, measuring tapes or squares
  • Set up and operate all equipment including but not limited to plasma table, laser, presses, brakes, rollers, etc.
  • Program machines to craft new parts
  • Keep a tidy and organized workspace
  • Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements
  • Confirm that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and screwed in
  • Ensure all quality standards are met
  • Help out with the other departments as needed
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Class 5 driver’s license
  • Safety oriented
  • Ability to working overtime during the busy season
  • Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints
  • Must be able to read tape measures (both imperial and metric) as well as know how to use a square
  • Perform basic mathematics 
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks, which may include working at heights
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. safely and comfortably
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work alone or as a team with a willingness to learn and perform a variety of tasks
  • Good dexterity and hand-eye coordination, with the ability to manipulate and assemble very large and extremely small components
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Exemplary attendance record
 
Bonus Points For: 
  • Previous fabrication experience
  • Previous experience operating collaborative robots or other heavy machinery in a manufacturing environment
