Job Description

Are you passionate about animal care and have experience operating farm equipment? We're looking for a Farm Equipment Operator to support our client’s calf care operations. If you have a strong work ethic and enjoy working with animals, we’d love to hear from you!
 
Please note: This position is located by Picture Butte and you must drive.
 
What’s in it for You?
  • Working with calves!!
  • Permanent position with overtime
 
Compensation & Hours: 
  • 12-hour shifts (6 AM - 6 PM)
  • 12 days on, 2 days off
  • $22-$25/hr (based on experience)
 
Position Summary: 
  • Operate and maintain calf feeding equipment (milk feeders, bottle feeders, mixing units)
  • Keep calf barns and feeding areas clean and hygienic
  • Monitor calf health and assist with treatments
  • Safely handle and transport calves on the farm
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues
  • Keep accurate records of feeding schedules and health observations
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Experience with farm work and machinery operation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
  • Attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare
 
Bonus Points For: 
  • Experience operating tractors, telehandlers, or other farm equipment
