Compensation & Hours: 
  • The salary will be $90K-$110K dependent on experience
  • This will be a full-time, permanent position
  • This is currently a hybrid role, however, upon completion of the new office, staff will be working out of the Crowsnest Pass office
 
Position Summary: 
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the company including but not limited to; hiring, division of responsibilities to all regions, divisions, and departments, scheduling, and frequent communications with owners, supervisors, and other staff as needed 
  • Managing all aspects of project development including; project estimation, contract generation, budget planning, determination of appropriate construction methods, scheduling, and troubleshooting
  • Establishing strategic objectives for the company through creation and approval of policies, programs, and plans that achieve big-picture company goals
  • Ensuring compliance of all Health and Safety policies and legal requirements by all staff
  • Negotiating and participating on behalf of the company at all official functions
  • Maintaining and building relationships when collaborating with architects, engineers, inspectors, vendors/suppliers, and clients
  • Overseeing construction personnel and activities onsite to ensure clients receive regular progress updates and projects stay within projected budgets and Health and Safety standards
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years experience in a leadership role
  • 7-10+ years experience in general construction 
  • Strong leadership ability to coach staff towards personal and professional development
  • Ability to anticipate future needs within the company and pertaining to clients 
  • Ability to analytically assign tasks, foresee obstacles, find creative solutions, meet deadlines and show tangible plans for success
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to learn and understand a variety of software’s, operational tools, and equipment, including suggestions for new technology to streamline current practices
  • Ability to travel throughout Southern Alberta as needed
  • Must be able to provide proof of clean drivers abstract
 
Bonus Points For: 
  • Journeymen ticket in carpentry or other related trade
  • Experience in civil construction
  • Project Management Professional
