Select People Solutions is pleased to be working with MacKay Equipment in their search for a Senior Service Technician. Mackay Equipment Sales Ltd. is a family owned and operated business, specializing in agricultural products and machinery for pork, poultry, and dairy farms. The successful candidate will be someone who is self-motivated and experienced in instrumentation. Compensation & Hours: 
  • The salary will be dependent on experience
  • This is a fulltime, permanent position, Monday-Friday – with the exception of 1 weekend / month
  • Must be available to travel within Alberta and Saskatchewan 
  • This position will be required to occasionally work overtime and perform on-call duties 
 
Position Summary: 
  • Systematically diagnosing faults and troubleshooting problems for all customers of Mackay Equipment 
  • Providing recommendations for improvements to equipment and processes
  • Maintaining records and all other documentation related to repairs and maintenance  
  • Assemble and perform pre-delivery inspections of new equipment including climate and product controllers, IP networks, ethernet, and radios
  • Building relationships with clients through timely, sound, and expert recommendations 
  • Installing and troubleshooting both analogue and input controls 
  • Assembling data special reports as required by Head Office
  • Complete repairs and maintenance of equipment as necessary
  • Adhering to all safety protocols

Required Qualifications: 
  • Instrumentation diploma or Journeyman Electrician certification
  • 4-6 years experience
  • Familiarity with the agriculture industry
  • Strong understanding of technology, operating systems, and other softwares 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Willingness to relocate to the Lethbridge area 
  • Motivation to be self-directed and work independently 
  • Valid drivers license and 5 year clean drivers abstract
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs safely 
 
Bonus Points :
  • Experience and solid understanding of Relay Logic
