Our Client is looking for a Construction Labourer to embark on a fulfilling journey in the world of carpentry. You'll work closely with experienced professionals on diverse construction projects while learning essential skills and techniques. This role is ideal for individuals eager to kickstart a career in construction.

Compensation & Hours: 
  • The wage will be dependent on experience
  • This will be a full-time and permanent position 
 
Position Summary: 
  • Clean and prepare construction sites, removing debris and possible hazards, general housekeeping
  • Load or unload building materials to be used in construction, including steel units to each piece can be hoisted as needed
  • Build or take apart bracing, scaffolding, and temporary structures
  • Assemble and erect prefabricated metal structures, assemble rigging to move materials
  • Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction
  • Use of power tools
  • Application of carpentry techniques
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Prior experience in construction, with a focus on either carpentry or metal erection.
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment. 
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Punctual and dependable work ethic.
 
Bonus Points For: 
  • Proficiency in either carpentry or metal erection.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and practices.
  • Certifications or relevant training in construction.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow plans.
