Select People Solutions is assisting our client in their search for a dedicated and safety-focused Site Superintendent to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Compensation & Hours: 
  • The rate of pay will be dependent on experience
  • This will be a full-time and permanent position 
 
Position Summary: 
  • Prioritize and enforce a culture of safety on the construction site, ensuring that all team members and subcontractors adhere to safety protocols and regulations
  • Manage day-to-day construction operations, including scheduling, quality control, and cost management, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Supervise and motivate on-site staff, subcontractors, and laborers, providing clear direction and support
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly
  • Act as the main point of contact between the project team, clients, and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress
  • Identify and resolve any challenges or obstacles that may arise during construction, making decisions that align with project goals and safety guidelines
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of all on-site activities, including safety reports, daily logs, and project documentation
  • Monitor all change orders, site instructions, RFI’s, and facilities the revised scope of work in a timely manner
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • 3+ years experience as a Site Superintendent in the commercial construction
  • Strong commitment to safety and a track record of maintaining a safe working environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
 
Bonus Points For: 
  • Post secondary education in management or related trade 
  • Proficiency in project management software 
  • OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training
