Job Description

Select’s construction client is looking for a Concrete Finisher to place, smooth, and finish poured concrete. This role includes hand work, troweling, framing, clearing forms, shoveling, using hand tools, and basic equipment operation.

Compensation & Hours:
•    The expected rate of pay will be around $25-30/hr.
•    This is a full-time and permanent position

Position Summary:
•    Ensuring proper placement, leveling, and finish of concrete
•    Checking formwork, base, and reinforcements for structural integrity
•    Employing finishing techniques with hand and power tools to meet specifications
•    Renovating and repairing existing structures
•    Applying hardening, sealing, and waterproofing to surfaces
•    Installing fixtures in freshly poured concrete
•    Adhering to traffic control plans to always ensure site safety.

Required Qualifications:
•    2+ years of concrete finishing experience
•    Ability to lift 50lbs regularly
•    Valid Class 5 Driver’s license
•    Familiarity with tool and equipment operation
•    Proficient in blueprint reading
•    Competency in electronic paperwork
•    Comfortable working in all weather conditions
•    Willingness to learn!

Bonus Points For:
•    Heavy equipment operation experience
•    Knowledge of caulking, masonry, and installation practices
