Select People Solutions is pleased to be working with our client as they search for a Controller to join their team. Successful candidates will be well versed in managing budgets, financial planning, and presenting reports. Compensation & Hours:
•    The rate of pay will be based on experience and designations
•    Monday- Friday
•    This role is based in office in Lethbridge, AB (no remote or hybrid available)

Position Summary:
•    Leading and developing the accounting and office staff
•    Offering accounting direction on all accounting processes including payroll and benefits
•    Streamlining the financial operations by developing policies, overseeing compliance, managing KPI’s, and streamlining operations
•    Compiling and presenting financial reports
•    Forecasting
•    Special projects and data analysis, including the monitoring of corporate credit, assessing risks, and investigating variances
•    Collaborating and building relationships with department leaders, government agencies, and other professional organizations
•    Meeting deadlines and managing month-end/year-end closing processes/audits

Required Qualifications:
•    5+ years’ experience as a Controller, Finance Manager, or related management role
•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate, mentor, and provide consultation
•    Unrivaled attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
