Select People Solutions is pleased to be working with the Aboriginal Housing Society as they search for a Executive Director to lead their organization through different initiatives, projects, and team building. Aboriginal Housing Society is a rapid growing organization that works within the community to assist any person of Aboriginal heritage with the opportunity to obtain and maintain suitable housing. They remove barriers and provide programming to help individuals gain independence and work towards personal growth and home ownership.

Compensation & Hours:
• Monday-Friday, some evenings and weekends will be required for troubleshooting and community events as needed
• Based in-office in Lethbridge, AB
• Occasional travel for conferences, events, and government meetings
Position Summary:
• Oversee daily operations and long-term strategies across multiple properties and units
• Lead hiring, HR functions, and staff development, ensuring a strong team dynamic
• Report to and collaborate with a governance board to develop reports, budgets, and overall organizational vision
• Manage organizational finances, budgets, and funding oversight
• Create and implement policies and procedures
• Organize community functions and engagement opportunities
• Track project performance and provide final reporting/wrap-up
• Present reports for organizational finance, team development, budgets, and initiative outcomes
• Work collaboratively with different Indigenous organizations, governments, and other non-profits for projects, initiatives, and grants
• Operate across multiple domains, balancing strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, training, and communication on an organization wide scale
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role
• Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy laws, and compliance
• Familiarity with culturally responsible and inclusive service delivery
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to lead with clarity and confidence
• Strong human resources and financial acumen
• Skilled in change management and implementing organizational transformation
Bonus Points For:
• Experience reporting to a governance board
• Experience managing affordable/subsidized housing programs
• Non-profit experience
