Compensation & Hours:
• The rate of pay will be $21-23/hr, depending on experience
• This is a full-time, temporary position with potential for permanency
• Monday – Friday, rotating shifts may be required
Position Summary:
• Perform laboratory testing to verify product quality and compliance with established standards
• Accurately collect, prepare, and analyze samples for evaluation
• Record and validate test results with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency
• Maintain lab equipment, supplies, cleanliness, and safe working conditions
• Prepare solutions and handle chemicals following safety protocols
• Support quality assurance activities, including seed sample processing
• Communicate findings, irregularities, or concerns to supervisors
• Follow laboratory procedures and contribute to process improvements
• Assist with testing new processes or products when required
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma (required)
• Basic laboratory or quality-related experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to double-check work
• QA or seed sample processing experience considered an asset
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Comfortable working around chemicals, dust, and in varying environmental conditions
• Physically able to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in elevated areas
Bonus Points For:
• Two-year diploma or post-secondary education in Agriculture, Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or a related field
• Experience in seed processing, manufacturing, light industrial, or quality assurance environments
• Knowledge of production agriculture
